Clothes Washing Machine Testing Project
This project is in currently in progress with construction underway.The Samsung testing facility tests clothes washing machines, among other appliances, for performance and specific energy and water consumption using AHAM, DOE and CR standards. Multiple clothes washing machines to be tested are connected to test rigs. Each test rigs consists of a computer-controlled mixing valve assembly and a data acquisition workstation. AEP was hired to design a water chiller and boiler plant to produce chilled and hot water respectively to be delivered to each test rigs computer-controlled mixing valve assembly. The chilled and hot water is then mixed to a precise temperature via the computer-controlled mixing valves and delivered to the washing machines at a controlled flow rate and line pressure.
Samsung QA Laboratory HVAC Projects
This project is in currently in progress with construction underway. AEP designed an upgrade to the Quality Control Labs and offices’ HVAC systems. New Samsung min-split Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems were specified. The indoor units range from slim-ducted units mounted above ceiling to ceiling-mounted cassettes.
This project is in currently in progress with construction underway. AEP also designed a specialized makeup air system for the facilities clothes dryer laboratory. The challenge was to provide a steady supply of outside makeup air at a precise temperature and humidity to make up the exhausted air from the multiple clothes dryers being tested simultaneously.
